For I, Adonai, love justice. I hate robbery in the burnt offering. In faithfulness I will reward My people and cut an eternal covenant with them.


Then I said, “Ah, Adonai Elohim ! Behold, I have never defiled myself. From my youth up until now have I not eaten what died of itself or was torn by beasts. Tainted meat has never come into my mouth.”


The kohanim may not eat any carcass, whether bird or beast, that dies of itself or is torn.”

Why do you kick at My sacrifice and My offering which I have commanded in My dwelling, and honor your sons above Me, by fattening yourselves with the choicest of every offering of Israel My people?
