The poor is hated even by his neighbor, but many are those who love the rich.


The one who oppresses the poor to increase his own gain, and the one who gives to the rich— both end in poverty.


For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Even the tax collectors do the same, don’t they?


He has filled the hungry with good things and sent away the rich empty-handed.


Her neighbors and relatives heard how Adonai had shown her His great mercy, and they began to rejoice with her.
