And so I hated life, because the work done under the sun was grievous to me. All is but vapor and chasing after the wind.


He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.


For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.


And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for My name’s sake, will receive a hundred times as much, and will inherit eternal life.


For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.


“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, and sisters—and yes, even his own life—he cannot be My disciple.


Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life will preserve it.


However, I don’t consider my life of any value, except that I might finish my course and the office I received from the Lord Yeshua, to declare the Good News of the grace of God.


Then Paul responded, “What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound but to die for the name of the Lord Yeshua!”


Women received their dead raised back to life; and others were tortured, after not accepting release, so they might obtain a better resurrection.


They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives even in the face of death.
