“The wings of the ostrich flap joyously, but are they the pinions and plumage of a stork?


and forgets that a foot may crush them, that a wild beast may trample them.


Like a bird that strays from its nest is a man that wanders from his home.


Then it is something for a man to burn. so he takes one of them and warms himself. He also makes a fire to bake bread. He also makes a god and worships it. He makes an idol and bows before it.


Even jackals offer their breast to nurse their young. The daughter of my people has become cruel, like ostriches in the desert.
