“I won’t wait for you!” Joab said. So he took three darts in his hand and thrust them through Absalom’s heart while he was yet alive in the midst of the oak.


Terrifying sounds are in his ears; in a time of peace, marauders attack him.


His archers surround me. Without mercy He pierces my kidneys and spills my gall on the ground.


On every side terrors frighten him and harass his every step.


He is torn from the security of his tent, and marched off to the king of terrors.


Terrors overtake him like a flood; a storm sweeps him away at night.


For the arrows of Shaddai are in me, my spirit drinks in their poison; God’s terrors line up against me.


God is a righteous judge, a God who is indignant every day.


How suddenly they became a ruin— terminated, consumed by terrors.


Adonai, why do You spurn me? Why do You hide Your face from me?


Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we are trying to persuade people, but what we are is known to God—and I hope it is known to your consciences as well.


when I sharpen My lightning sword and My hand seizes it in judgment, I will return vengeance on My foes, and those who hate Me I will pay back.
