I will stir up Egyptian against Egyptian. Everyone will fight against his brother, and everyone against his neighbor— city against city, kingdom against kingdom.


In the streets is an outcry for wine; all joy becomes dark as evening; the mirth of the land is banished.


Judah will mourn, and her gates languish. They will bow in black to the ground And Jerusalem’s wail will go up.


Why do you make light of changing your way? You will be put to shame by Egypt as you were put to shame by Assyria.
