A Song of Ascents. Of David. I rejoiced when they said to me, “Let us go to the House of Adonai.”


One thing have I asked of Adonai, that will I seek: to dwell in the House of Adonai all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of Adonai, and to meditate in His Temple.


My tears have been my food day and night, while they say to me all day: “Where is your God?”


O God, look at our shield, and look upon the face of Your anointed.


How lovely are Your tabernacles, Adonai-Tzva’ot!


Work is to be done for six days, but the seventh day is a holy day for you, a Shabbat of complete rest to Adonai. Whoever does any work then will die.


Do not kindle a fire in any of your dwellings on Yom Shabbat.”


“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways.” It is a declaration of Adonai.
