Genesis 37:2 - Tree of Life Version

2 These are the genealogies of Jacob. When Joseph was 17 years old (he was a youth), he was shepherding the flocks with his brothers—with the sons of his father’s wives Bilhah and Zilpah. Joseph brought back a bad report about them to their father.

And these are the genealogical records of Noah’s sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons were born to them after the flood.


These are the genealogical records of the heavens and the earth when they were created, at the time when Adonai Elohim made land and sky.


Then she gave her maid-servant Bilhah to him for a wife, and Jacob went to her.


Now Leah saw that she stopped having children, so she took Zilpah her female servant and gave her to Jacob as a wife.


While Israel was living in that land, Reuben went and slept with his father’s concubine Bilhah, and Israel heard about it. Now Jacob had twelve sons.


Now Joseph was 30 years old when he began serving as representative of Pharaoh, king of Egypt. Joseph went out from Pharaoh’s presence and passed throughout the whole land of Egypt.


Though Joseph recognized his brothers, they did not recognize him.


For there has been two years of famine in the land, and there will be five more years yet with no plowing or harvesting.


you must say, ‘Your servants have been men who handle livestock since the time of our youth until now, both we and our fathers,’ so that you can live in the land of Goshen, because every shepherd is loathsome to the Egyptians.”


This is the Book of the Genealogies of Adam: When God created Adam, in the likeness of God He made him.


These are the genealogies of Noah. Noah was a righteous man. He was blameless among his generation. Noah continually walked with God.
