When Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, the prince of the land, saw her, he took her and lay with her and raped her.


So Shechem said to his father Hamor saying, “Get me this girl for a wife.”


So now, don’t be afraid. I myself will provide food for you and your little ones.” So he reassured them, speaking kindly to them.

Now it came to pass, when David had finished speaking to Saul, Jonathan’s soul was knit to David’s soul, and Jonathan loved him as himself.
