So Sarai said to Abram, “Look now, Adonai has prevented me from having children. Go, please, to my slave-girl. Perhaps I’ll get a son by her.” Abram listened to Sarai’s voice.


So she said to Abraham, “Drive out this female slave and her son, for the son of this female slave will not be an heir with my son—with Isaac.”


His concubine, whose name was Reumah, also bore Tebah, Gaham, Tahash and Maacah.


Now Abraham took another wife—her name was Keturah.


but to the sons of Abraham’s concubines, Abraham had given gifts and sent them away from his son Isaac while he was still living, eastward to the land of the east.


Laban also gave his daughter Rachel his female servant Bilhah, to be a servant for her.


Bilhah became pregnant and gave birth to a son for Jacob.


He put the female servants and their children first, then Leah and her children behind them, then Rachel and Joseph behind them.


While Israel was living in that land, Reuben went and slept with his father’s concubine Bilhah, and Israel heard about it. Now Jacob had twelve sons.


These are the sons of Bilhah whom Laban gave to Rachel his daughter and she bore these to Jacob. The tally of all the people was seven.


“Thus says Adonai: Behold, I am going to raise up evil against you from your own household, and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he will lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.
