So there was a quarrel between the shepherds of Abram’s livestock and the shepherds of Lot’s livestock. (Now the Canaanites and the Perizzites were living in the land then.)


Now Abraham had rebuked Abimelech because of the well of water that Abimelech’s servants had seized.


Then Isaac’s servants dug in the valley and found a well of living water there.


Then he dug another well and they quarreled over it too, so he named it Accusation.


you must say, ‘Your servants have been men who handle livestock since the time of our youth until now, both we and our fathers,’ so that you can live in the land of Goshen, because every shepherd is loathsome to the Egyptians.”
