Since we have heard that some from among us have troubled you with words disturbing to your souls, although we gave them no such authorization,


you are to turn such a fellow over to satan for the destruction of his fleshly nature, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Yeshua.


Because of this confidence, I was planning to come to you first, so that you might have a second benefit—


I beg of you that when I am present I won’t need to be bold with the courage I consider showing against some who judge us as walking in the flesh.


ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete.


For this reason I write these things while I am absent, so that when I am present I need not proceed harshly, according to the authority which the Lord gave me—for building up and not for tearing down.


And I wrote this very thing to you, so that when I came I wouldn’t have sorrow from those who ought to make me rejoice—having confidence in you all that my joy is yours.


For such a person, this punishment by the majority is enough.


So from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Messiah according to the flesh, yet now we no longer know Him this way.


I rejoice that in everything I have confidence in you.


Also with them we are sending our brother whom we have tested many times and found to be diligent in many things, but now even more diligent because of his great confidence in you.


not that there is another, but only some who are confusing you and want to distort the Good News of Messiah.


Now this issue came up because of false brothers secretly brought in (who slipped in to spy out our freedom in Messiah, in order to bring us into bondage).


But from those who seemed to be influential (whatever they were makes no difference to me; God shows no partiality)—well, those influential ones added nothing to my message.


O foolish Galatians, who cast a spell on you? Before your eyes Yeshua the Messiah was clearly portrayed as crucified.


I fear for you, that perhaps I have labored over you in vain!


Others zealously court you—not in a good way, but they wish to shut you out so that you will court them.


I wish I could be with you now and change my tone, for I don’t know what to make of you.


I only wish those who are agitating you would castrate themselves!


You were running a great race! Who blocked you from following the truth?


From now on let no one make trouble for me, for I bear on my body the scars of Yeshua.


Therefore let all who are mature have this attitude; and if you have a different attitude in anything, this also God will reveal to you.


We have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you are doing and will keep doing what we command.


Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander—whom I have handed over to satan to be disciplined not to blaspheme.


Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than what I say.
