So Adonai was with him. Wherever he went he prospered. He rebelled against the king of Assyria and did not serve him.


For through the anger of Adonai it came to a point in Jerusalem and Judah that He finally banished them from His presence. Then Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.


so that a search may be made in the book of records of your fathers and you will discover in the records and know that this city is a rebellious city, harmful to kings and provinces, inciting internal revolts from ancient times. That is why this city was destroyed.
