The surrounding great courtyard had three rows of cut stone and a row of cedar beams, the same as the inner court of the House of Adonai and the portico of the House.


He built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the House of Adonai.


Then he did the pillars—60 cubits. A gateway extended all around to the pillar of the courtyard.


He said to me: “Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great abominations that the house of Israel is committing here, that drives me far off from My own Sanctuary? But you will see even greater abominations.”


Then He said to me, “Son of man, now dig through the wall.” When I had dug through the wall, there was a door.


‘Cursed is the one who makes a carved or molten image—an abomination to Adonai, the work of a craftsman’s hands—and sets it up in secret.’ Then all the people are to answer and say, ‘Amen.’
