In a little while the sky grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. Ahab mounted and rode, and headed to Jezreel.


Give portions to seven, or even to eight, for you do not know what disaster may happen upon the earth.


Whoever keeps watching the wind will not sow and whoever gazes at the clouds will not reap.


Already the axe is laid at the root of the trees; therefore every tree that does not produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire!


So he said to the gardener, ‘Indeed, for three years I‘ve come searching for fruit on this fig tree and found none. Remove it! Why does it use up the ground?’


But if someone has material possessions and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?
