“You gave them kingdoms and peoples and You allotted them their boundaries of the land. They possessed the land of Sihon king of Heshbon and the country of Og king of Bashan.


So they struck him and his sons and his entire army until no survivor was left to him, and they possessed his land.


Yet we will not inherit with them on the side beyond the Jordan, since our inheritance has come on the east side of the Jordan.”


These are the words that Moses spoke to all Israel across the Jordan—in the wilderness, in the Arabah opposite Suph, between Paran and Tophel, Laban, Hazeroth and Di-Zahab.


So we stayed in the valley opposite Beth-peor.


“So at that time we took from the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land across the Jordan, from the Wadi Arnon to Mount Hermon.


Then He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth-peor—but no one knows of his burial place to this day.


These are the testimonies and the statutes and the ordinances, which Moses spoke to Bnei-Yisrael when they came out from Egypt—

Then I sent the hornet before you and it drove them out from before you—the two kings of the Amorites—not by your sword or your bow.
