So he went with them. And when they came to the Jordan, they began to cut down trees.


They entered into a covenant to seek Adonai, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul.


Then Jehoiada made a covenant between himself, all the people and the king to be the people of Adonai.

So Joshua cut a covenant with the people that day, and set for them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.
