when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he went to Bathsheba.


Behold, I was born in iniquity and in sin when my mother conceived me.


Then I will sprinkle clean water on you and you will be clean from all your uncleanness and from all your idols.


Whoever carries any part of their carcass is to wash his clothes, and will be unclean until the evening.


Then on the seventh day, he is to shave all his hair from his head, his beard, and his eyebrows—he must shave off all his hair. He is to wash his clothes, and bathe his body in water. Then he will be clean.


“Also anyone the person with the discharge touches without rinsing his hands in water shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening.


“When the one who has a fluid discharge is cleansed of his issue, then he is to count for himself seven days for his purification and wash his clothes. Then he is to bathe his body in running water, and he will be clean.


“If any man has an emission of semen, then he is to bathe his whole body in water and be unclean until the evening.


Whoever touches his bed is to wash his clothes and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening.


the person who touches any such thing will be unclean until the evening, and is not to eat of the holy things, unless he has bathed his body in water.


“As for me, I immerse you in water for repentance. But the One coming after me is mightier than I am; I am not worthy to carry His sandals. He will immerse you in the Ruach ha-Kodesh and fire.


“When you go out as an army camp against your enemies, you are to guard yourself from every evil thing.


Now toward evening he is to bathe in water, and when the sun sets, he may reenter the camp.


So let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and body washed with pure water.


Corresponding to that, immersion now brings you to safety—not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but a pledge to God of a good conscience—through the resurrection of Messiah Yeshua.
