‘Thus says Adonai, behold, I am bringing disaster on this place and on its inhabitants, as in all the words of the scroll that the king of Judah read.


“The godless in heart harbor anger, they do not cry for help even when He binds them.


Open my eyes, so I may behold wonders from Your Torah.


Help me discern the way of Your precepts, so I may meditate on Your wonders.


Your hands have made me and formed me. Give me understanding that I may learn Your mitzvot.


Will You withdraw all Your wrath? Will You turn from Your burning anger?


Oy , those going down to Egypt for help. They are relying on horses, trusting in chariots since they are many, and in horsemen since they are very mighty, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel nor seek Adonai!


Behold, the former things have come to pass, Now I declare new things. Before they spring forth I announce them to you.”


Yet you have not called on Me, Jacob, for you have been weary of Me, Israel.


No one calls on Your Name, or stirs himself up to take hold of You. For You have hidden Your face from us, and have consumed us, because of our iniquities.


But now, Adonai, You are our Father. We are the clay and You are our potter, We are all the work of Your hand.


So Adonai will cut off from Israel head and tail, palm branch and bulrush in a single day.


“In vain I struck your children. They took no correction. Your sword devoured your prophets like a ravaging lion.”


All your lovers have forgotten you. They are not looking for you. For I wounded you as an enemy— with cruel punishment— because your iniquity is vast, your sins innumerable.


For after I returned, I repented, and after that I was instructed, I struck my thigh— I was ashamed and also humiliated, for I bore the disgrace of my youth.’


Because you have burned incense, because you have sinned against Adonai and have not listened to the voice of Adonai, nor walked in His Torah, nor in His statutes, nor in His testimonies—that is why this calamity has befallen you, as it is this day.”


Here I am, watching over them for evil, and not for good. All the people of Judah who are in the land of Egypt will be consumed by the sword and by famine, until there is an end of them.


Adonai, do Your eyes not look for faithfulness? You struck them, but they did not grieve. You disciplined them, but they refused correction. They made their faces harder than stone. They refused to return.


Bring us back to You, Adonai, and we will return. Renew our days as of old—


“Because you did not remember the days of your youth, but have enraged Me in all these things, behold, I will also bring your way on your head”—it is a declaration of Adonai. “Have you not committed this wickedness on top of all your abominations?


Yes, all Israel has transgressed Your Torah and has turned away—not obeying Your voice. “‘Therefore the curse and sworn judgment written in the Torah of Moses the servant of God has been poured out upon us, for we have sinned against Him.


Though the Pride of Israel has answered him to his face, yet they did not return to Adonai their God, nor seek Him about all this.


Nor did they not cry to Me in their heart when they were wailing on their beds. For the sake of grain and new wine they slash themselves— they keep turning away from Me.


All of them are hot like an oven, and they devour their rulers. All of their kings have fallen. None among them calls on Me.


Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,


If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the Word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),


It is written in the Prophets, ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has listened and learned from the Father comes to Me.


You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free!”


if indeed you have heard Him and were taught in Him, as the truth is in Yeshua.


I led you 40 years in the wilderness—your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn out on your feet.


But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all without hesitation and without reproach; and it will be given to him.
