Look, please, your servant has found favor in Your eyes and You have magnified Your merciful loyalty, which You have shown me by letting me live. But I can’t escape to the hill country—for the disaster will overtake me and I’ll die!


But the man answered, “Who made you a ruler and a judge over us? Are you saying you’re going to kill me—just as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid, and thought, “For sure the deed had become known.”


Now when He entered the Temple, the ruling kohanim and the elders of the people came to Him while He was teaching, saying, “By what authority are You doing these things? Who gave You this authority?”


But Yeshua said to him, “Man, who made Me a judge or arbitrator over you?”


When they had placed Peter and John in their midst, they began to inquire, “By what power or in what name did you do this?”


Now when they heard this, they became enraged and wanted to kill them.


“This Moses—whom they rejected, saying, ‘Who appointed you as ruler and judge?’—is the one whom God sent as both ruler and redeemer, by the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.


Our fathers did not want to be obedient to him, but shoved him aside. And in their hearts they turned back to Egypt,


When they heard these things, they became enraged and began gnashing their teeth at him.
