But the kohen gadol Ananias ordered those standing by him to strike him on the mouth.

When I was informed that there was a plot against the man, I sent him to you immediately, also ordering his accusers to state before you what they have against him.”


When they came to Caesarea and delivered the letter to the governor, they also presented Paul before him.


he said, “I will give you a hearing when your accusers have arrived also.” Then he gave orders for Paul to be guarded in Herod’s Praetorium.


As you can verify, it is no more than twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem to worship.


When Paul was called in, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, “We are enjoying much peace through you, and reforms are introduced for this nation because of your foresight.


When I was in Jerusalem, the ruling kohanim and elders of the Judeans brought charges against him, asking for a judgment against him.


There the ruling kohanim and the leading Judeans brought charges against Paul. They were urging him,


When I came to you, brothers and sisters, I did not come with excellence of speech or wisdom, proclaiming to you the mystery of God.


My speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power—
