“Claudius Lysias, To the Most Excellent Governor Felix: Greetings!


After five days, the kohen gadol Ananias came down with some of the elders and an attorney named Tertullus. They brought formal charges against Paul before the governor.


We acknowledge this, most excellent Felix, in every way and every place with all gratitude.


While they were staying there several days, Festus laid Paul’s case before the king, saying, “There is a man left behind as a prisoner by Felix.


When we entered Rome, Paul was permitted to remain in his own quarters, with a soldier guarding him.


But Philip found himself at Azotus. And as he passed through, he kept proclaiming the Good News to all the towns until he came to Caesarea.
