When your days are done and you sleep with your fathers, I will raise up your seed, who will come forth from you after you, and I will establish his kingdom.


Then David slept with his fathers and was buried in the city of David.


In the past, even when Saul was king, you were the one that led out and brought in Israel. Adonai your God also said to you, ‘You shall shepherd My people Israel and you shall be ruler over My people Israel.’”

David reigned over all Israel and he administered justice and righteousness to all his people.

Then He appeared to over five hundred brothers and sisters at one time— most of them are still alive, though some have died.


Now we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who are asleep, so that you may not grieve like the rest who have no hope.
