But Judah said to him, “The man warned us firmly saying, ‘You won’t see my face unless your brother is with you.’


Then her brother Absalom said to her, “Has Amnon your brother been with you? So now, my sister, keep quiet. He is your brother—don’t take this thing to heart.” But Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.


Now Absalom had lived two full years in Jerusalem but he never saw the king’s face.


“Good!” said David. “I will cut a covenant with you. But one thing I require of you: you will not see my face unless you first bring Saul’s daughter Michal when you come to see my face.”


So Pharaoh said to him, “Go away from me! Take heed never to see my face again, because on the day you do, you will die!”


They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.
