First, I thank my God through Messiah Yeshua for all of you, because your faithfulness is made known throughout the whole world.


According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and another builds on it. But let each consider carefully how he builds on it.


Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do!


I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you more, am I to be loved less?


Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some do, letters of recommendation to you or from you?


I do not say this to condemn you, for I have said before that you are in our hearts—to die together and to live together with you.


It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I have you in my heart—for you all are partakers of grace with me, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the Good News.


For the word of the Lord rang out from you—not just in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faithfulness toward God has gone out, so that we have no need to say anything.
