But grabbing his servants, the tenants beat up one, killed another, and stoned still another.


But Jewish people came from Antioch and Iconium; and after they won the crowd over and stoned Paul, they were dragging him out of the city, supposing him to be dead.


Now it happened that an attempt was made by both the Gentiles and Jewish people, along with their rulers, to abuse and stone them.


He took them that very hour and washed their wounds, and at once he was immersed—he and all his household.

the commander ordered Paul to be brought into headquarters. He said Paul should be examined by lashing, so that he might find out why they were shouting against him so.

They were stoned, they were sawed in two, they were murdered with the sword. They went around in sheepskins and goatskins; they were destitute, afflicted, mistreated.
