Ahaz even collected the utensils of the House of God and cut the utensils of the House of God into pieces. He shut the doors of the House of Adonai and made himself altars in every corner of Jerusalem.


In the first month of the first year of his reign, he opened the doors of the House of Adonai and repaired them.


“Now this is what you are to offer upon the altar: two one-year-old lambs, each day, continually.


“Aaron must burn sweet spices of incense there every morning. When he attends to the lamps, he is to burn it.


“If just one of you would shut the doors, and not light My altar uselessly! I have no delight in you,” says Adonai-Tzva’ot. “Nor will I accept any offering from your hand.
