for when Jezebel was cutting off the prophets of Adonai, Obadiah took 100 prophets, hid them 50 to a cave, and provided them with bread and water.


Now Elisha was sitting in his house, and the elders were sitting with him. The king had sent a messenger ahead, yet even before the messenger arrived, Elisha said to the elders, “Do you see, this son of a murderer was sent to take away my head! Look, when the messenger comes, shut the door and hold the door fast against him. Is not the sound of his master’s footsteps behind him?”


When the righteous triumph there is great glory, but when the wicked rise to power, people hide.


For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger and you invited Me in;


You yourselves know that these hands of mine have provided for my own needs as well as for those with me.


The world was not worthy of them! They wandered around in deserts and mountains, caves and holes in the ground.
