5 Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy. One who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues—unless he interprets, so that the community may be built up.

So then let us pursue what makes for shalom and for the building up of one another.


to another workings of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.


If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels but have not love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.


Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not brag, it is not puffed up,


Pursue love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.


For you certainly give thanks well, but the other person is not built up.
