So will God really dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You! How much less this House that I have built!


David was angry because Adonai had burst out against Uzza. So he called that place Perez-uzza as it is to this day.


So David did not take the Ark with him to the City of David, but left it in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.


But David could not go before it to seek God for he was afraid of the sword of the angel of Adonai.


My flesh shudders for fear of You, and I am in awe of Your judgments.


Then I said: “Oy to me! For I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I am dwelling among a people of unclean lips. For my eyes have seen the King, Adonai-Tzva’ot!”

So the men of Beth-shemesh asked, “Who is able to stand before Adonai—this holy God? To whom should it go up from us?”
