Go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”


For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, just as it is written, “The righteous will live by faith.”


For with the heart belief is exercised, resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made, resulting in salvation.


Greet Andronicus and Junia, my kinsfolk and my fellow prisoners, who are of note among the apostles, and who were in Christ before me.


so that just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too have put our faith in Christ Jesus so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by works of the law.


as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to righteousness under the law, blameless.


He saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,


he saved us, not because of any righteous works we had done, but according to his mercy, through the washing of regeneration and the renewal of the Holy Spirit.

Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.
