He replied, “It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs.”


Then Jesus answered her, “O woman, great is yoʋr faith; it will be done for yoʋ as yoʋ wish.” And her daughter was healed from that hour.


so that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.


But the centurion replied, “Lord, I am not worthy to have yoʋ enter under my roof, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed.


She answered him, “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs.”


He longed to be filled with the crumbs that fell from the rich man's table, but instead the dogs would come and lick his sores.


But the tax collector stood at a distance and would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’


For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call upon him.


Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.
