Jesus said, “Are you also still without understanding?


But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these defile a person.


For it does not go into his heart but into his stomach; then it goes out into the latrine, thus purifying all foods.”


The good person brings good things out of the good treasure of his heart, and the evil person brings evil things out of the evil treasure of his heart, for out of the abundance of his heart his mouth speaks.


Food is for the stomach and the stomach for food, but God will do away with them both. The body is not meant for fornication but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.


And the tongue is a fire. The tongue is placed among our members as a world of unrighteousness, staining the entire body, setting the course of life on fire, and itself being set on fire by hell.
