And behold, a great storm arose on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves. But Jesus was asleep.


He saw the disciples straining as they rowed, for the wind was against them. About the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea, and intended to pass them by.


Then the sea became rough because a strong wind was blowing.


For he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a large number of people were added to the Lord.


From there we put out to sea and sailed under the lee of Cyprus, because the winds were against us.
