Whenever you enter a town or village, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there until you leave that place.


He instructed them to take nothing for their journey except a staff—no knapsack, no bread, and no copper money in their belts.


John answered them, “Whoever has two tunics must share with him who has none, and whoever has food must do likewise.”


He said to them, “Take nothing for your journey, neither staffs, knapsack, bread, nor money; and bring only one tunic each.


When yoʋ come, bring the cloak that I left with Carpus in Troas, as well as my scrolls, especially the parchments.
