As they went into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white robe, and they were alarmed.


But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed; you seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen; he is not here. Behold, this is the place where they laid him.


From that point he did not allow anyone to accompany him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James.


When the whole crowd saw him, they were greatly amazed and immediately ran up and greeted him.


After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up on a high mountain by themselves. There he was transfigured before them.


Being in agony, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground.


In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.
