Then he commanded the crowds to sit down on the grass, and taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said the blessing. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.


And taking the children in his arms, he laid his hands on them and blessed them.


The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.”


Then he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank of it.


He said to them, “This is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many.


Then he took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed the food. He broke the loaves and gave them to his disciples to set before the people, and he divided the two fish among them all.


Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves.


As he was reclining at the table with them, he took the bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.


Then other boats from Tiberias came near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks.


and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they were drinking from the spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ.


For Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present Jerusalem; she is in slavery with her children.
