After buying a linen cloth and taking him down, Joseph wrapped him in the linen cloth and laid him in a tomb that had been hewn in the rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb.


He went to Pilate and asked for Jesus' body.


It was the day of Preparation, and the Sabbath was approaching.


Near the place where Jesus was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden there was a new tomb in which no one had ever been laid.


When they had fulfilled all that was written about him, they took him down from the cross and laid him in a tomb.
