This was the testimony of John when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are yoʋ?”


How can you believe when you receive glory from one another and do not seek the glory that is from the only God?


They asked them, “Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he now see?”


(His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews, for the Jews had already agreed that if anyone should confess that Jesus was the Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue.


Therefore let us make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall into the same pattern of disobedience.
