But as for the dead being raised, have you not read in the Book of Moses, in the passage about the burning bush, how God said to him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?


But even Moses indicated that the dead are raised, when he said in the passage about the burning bush, ‘The Lord, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’


“As the time drew near for God to fulfill the promise he had sworn to Abraham, our people increased and multiplied in Egypt


When Moses saw it, he was amazed at the sight. As he drew near to look at it, the voice of the Lord came to him:


‘I am the God of yoʋr fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ Moses began to tremble and did not dare to look.


“This is the same Moses they had rejected, saying, ‘Who appointed yoʋ to be a ruler and judge?’ He is the one God sent as a ruler and redeemer by the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.


For Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present Jerusalem; she is in slavery with her children.
