If then God gave them the same gift that he gave us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, how could I stand in God's way?”


Then there arose a great clamor, and the scribes of the Pharisees' party stood up and argued vehemently, “We find no evil in this man. If a spirit has spoken to him, or an angel, let us not fight against God.”


But they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit with which he was speaking.


“You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit! As your fathers did, so you do also.


Saul said, “Who are yoʋ, Lord?” The Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom yoʋ are persecuting.


For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.


Or are we trying to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he is?
