But they could not figure out what to do, for all the people were hanging on his every word as they listened to him.


And Jesus advanced in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and men.


The hand of the Lord was with them, and a large number of people believed and turned to the Lord.


For he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a large number of people were added to the Lord.


When the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and all who were appointed to eternal life believed.


At Iconium Paul and Barnabas went together into the synagogue of the Jews and spoke in such a way that a great multitude of both Jews and Greeks believed.


After preaching the gospel in that city and making many disciples, Paul and Barnabas returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch,


So the churches were strengthened in the faith and increased in number every day.


As a result, many of them believed, as did quite a few of the Greek women of high standing and the men.


For this promise is for you, for your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God calls to himself.”


Then those who gladly received his word were baptized, and about three thousand souls were added on that day.


So after threatening Peter and John further, they released them, finding no way to punish them, because all the people were glorifying God for what had happened.


With great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all.


But many who heard the word believed, and the number of men who believed came to about five thousand.


In those days, as the disciples increased in number, a complaint arose against the Hebrews on the part of the Hellenists that their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food.


So the word of God continued to increase, and the number of disciples continued to multiply greatly in Jerusalem, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.


So the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were being strengthened. Continuing in the fear of the Lord and in the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, they were being multiplied.


and all who dwelt in Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.


Anyone who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.


And those whom he foreordained, he also called; and those whom he called, he also justified; and those whom he justified, he also glorified.


And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel, “Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only the remnant will be saved.


For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
