You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life, and it is these that testify about me,


So I sent for yoʋ at once, and yoʋ have done well by coming. Now then, we are all here in the presence of God to hear all that yoʋ have been commanded by God.”


Now the apostles and the brothers who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.


When Paul and his companions had traveled through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews.


Then those who gladly received his word were baptized, and about three thousand souls were added on that day.


And you became imitators of us and of the Lord when you received the word in much affliction with the joy of the Holy Spirit.


We also give thanks to God without ceasing because, when you received the word of God that you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it truly is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.


and with every kind of wicked deception among those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.


Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and rampant wickedness, humbly receive the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.


Like newborn babies, long for pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow,
