Continuing on from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia. On the Sabbath day they went into the synagogue and sat down.


But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began to contradict what Paul was saying, opposing him and slandering him.


Now there was a man sitting in Lystra who could not use his feet. He had been lame from his mother's womb and had never walked.


serving the Lord with all humility and with many tears and trials, which came upon me because of the plots of the Jews.


When the dissension grew violent, the commander, exercising caution lest Paul be torn to pieces by them, ordered the troops to go down, take him away from them by force, and bring him into the barracks.


I will rescue yoʋ from yoʋr own people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending yoʋ


But having obtained help from God, I stand to this day testifying to both small and great, saying nothing except what the Prophets and Moses said would take place:


I will show him how much he must suffer for my name's sake.”


Pray that I may be rescued from those in Judea who refuse to believe and that my ministry to Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,


For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.


because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.


So I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, and in distresses for the sake of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.


I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.


then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and how to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment,
