Truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.


It is sufficient for the disciple that he should be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign the members of his household?


But I tell you, it will be more tolerable on the day of judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you.


But I tell you, it will be more tolerable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom than for yoʋ.”


But I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give an account for every idle word they speak.


Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they kept my word, they will keep yours also.


I have given them the glory that yoʋ gave me, so that they may be one, just as we are one,


Because those whom he foreknew he also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.


And just as it is appointed for men to die once and then face judgment,


For judgment is without mercy to anyone who has not shown mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.


Do yoʋ see how faith was active along with his works, and by works his faith was made perfect?


then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and how to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment,


But by his word the heavens and the earth that now exist have been reserved for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and the destruction of the ungodly.


And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he is revealed we may have confidence and not be ashamed before him at his coming.


But whoever keeps his word, truly in him the love of God has been perfected. By this we know that we are in him:


Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk just as he walked.


See what great love the Father has lavished upon us, that we should be called children of God! The reason the world does not know you is that it did not know him.


Everyone who places this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.


Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, just as Jesus is righteous.


No one has ever seen God. If we love one another, God abides in us, and his love is perfected in us.
