Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb; Yea, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna:


Who said, Let us take to ourselves in possession The habitations of God.


In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their anklets, and the cauls, and the crescents;


And afterward Joshua smote them, and put them to death, and hanged them on five trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening.


And in those days men shall seek death, and shall in no wise find it; and they shall desire to die, and death fleeth from them.


And they said unto him, We are come down to bind thee, that we may deliver thee into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me, that ye will not fall upon me yourselves.


And he said unto Jether his firstborn, Up, and slay them. But the youth drew not his sword: for he feared, because he was yet a youth.


Then the men of Israel said unto Gideon, Rule thou over us, both thou, and thy son, and thy son's son also: for thou hast saved us out of the hand of Midian.


And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold; beside the crescents, and the pendants, and the purple raiment that was on the kings of Midian, and beside the chains that were about their camels' necks.


Then he called hastily unto the young man his armourbearer, and said unto him, Draw thy sword, and kill me, that men say not of me, A woman slew him. And his young man thrust him through, and he died.


And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers overtook him; and he was greatly distressed by reason of the archers.


And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he likewise fell upon his sword, and died with him.
