For they all would have made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. But now, O God, strengthen thou my hands.


From out of the populous city men groan, And the soul of the wounded crieth out: Yet God imputeth it not for folly


Blessed be the LORD my rock, Which teacheth my hands to war, And my fingers to fight:


Arise, O LORD, Confront him, cast him down: Deliver my soul from the wicked by thy sword;


The God that girdeth me with strength, And maketh my way perfect.


For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: Thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.


Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if a rod should shake them that lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up him that is not wood.


Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him, and I will loose the loins of kings; to open the doors before him, and the gates shall not be shut;


I am the LORD, and there is none else; beside me there is no God: I will gird thee, though thou hast not known me:


Wherefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will do judgement upon her graven images; and through all her land the wounded shall groan.


Thus saith the Lord GODto Tyre: Shall not the isles shake at the sound of thy fall, when the wounded groan, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee?


Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD Behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall carry off her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army.


Thus saith the Lord GOD I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease, by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.


He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought in to destroy the land; and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.


Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and, lo, it hath not been bound up to apply healing medicines, to put a roller to bind it, that it be strong to hold the sword.


And I will hold up the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out upon the land of Egypt.


Ye Ethiopians also, ye shall be slain by my sword.
