But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.


I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness, As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.


Moreover also, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, seeing that I have a treasure of mine own of gold and silver, I give it unto the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house;


Then the princes of the fathers' houses, and the princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers over the king's work, offered willingly;


And his princes gave for a freewill offering unto the people, to the priests, and to the Levites. Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, the rulers of the house of God, gave unto the priests for the passover offerings two thousand and six hundred small cattle, and three hundred oxen.


and afterward the continual burnt offering, and the offerings of the new moons, and of all the set feasts of the LORD that were consecrated, and of every one that willingly offered a freewill offering unto the LORD.


And I said unto them, Ye are holy unto the LORD, and the vessels are holy; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the LORD, the God of your fathers.


And Moses spake unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD commanded, saying,


Take ye from among you an offering unto the LORD: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, the LORD'S offering; gold, and silver, and brass;


and they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him freewill offerings every morning.


To the law and to the testimony! if they speak not according to this word, surely there is no morning for them.


teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.


What then is Apollos? and what is Paul? Ministers through whom ye believed; and each as the Lord gave to him.


For if I do this of mine own will, I have a reward: but if not of mine own will, I have a stewardship intrusted to me.


Let each man do according as he hath purposed in his heart; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.


And as many as shall walk by this rule, peace be upon them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.


And ye shall observe to do all the statutes and the judgements which I set before you this day.


What thing soever I command you, that shall ye observe to do: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.


Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.


And we have the word of prophecy made more sure; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts:


For that the leaders took the lead in Israel, for that the people offered themselves willingly, bless ye the LORD.


My heart is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people: bless ye the LORD.
