Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the LORD appeared unto David his father, which he made ready in the place that David had appointed, in the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite.


I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: From whence shall my help come?


Our feet are standing Within thy gates, O Jerusalem;


As the hart panteth after the water brooks, So panteth my soul after thee, O God.


Why look ye askance, ye high mountains, At the mountain which God hath desired for his abode? Yea, the LORD will dwell in it for ever


And he built his sanctuary like the heights, Like the earth which he hath established for ever.


What then shall one answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD hath founded Zion, and in her shall the afflicted of his people take refuge.


therefore thus saith the Lord GOD Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone of sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.


even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer; their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar: for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all peoples.


Thus saith the LORD: I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called The city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts The holy mountain.


And I also say unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.


and this voice we ourselves heard come out of heaven, when we were with him in the holy mount.
