(Let me be weighed in an even balance, That God may know mine integrity;)


For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, That his iniquity shall not be found out and be hated.


The way of the foolish is right in his own eyes: But he that is wise hearkeneth unto counsel.


All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes: But the LORD weigheth the spirits.


There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, But the end thereof are the ways of death.


The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: But the LORD trieth the hearts.


Most men wilt proclaim every one his own kindness: But a faithful man who can find?


If thou sayest, Behold, we knew not this: Doth not he that weigheth the hearts consider it? And he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? And shall not he render to every man according to his work?
